I love “ It arrives out of necessity and at the behest of grace, an essence of the divine that is said to be always present, yet can be maddeningly elusive to the distracted human.”
Have you read the work of theologian Frederick Buechner? Your work reminds me of his gentle wisdom: "Grace is something you can never get but can only be given."
I've not yet read him, but have been aware of him for some time. Comes up often in the work of others and in conversation. I'll take this as a nudge, and I'm honored by your kind words. Many thanks :).

I love contemplating the ways of grace...it's like water seeking it's own level. Always seems to find the way in.
Sherri, the same line lingered for me "at the behest of grace."
And from my seat...the same. :)
